Belly Dance
Belly dance can be practiced at any age, does not depend on size, and does not require a specific body type or previous physical preparation. Historically it has even accompanied women during pregnancy, and although most practitioners are women, more and more men are also discovering it.
We offer belly dance classes for all levels following our official program, from beginner to professional level. We also offer private classes for students who want to strengthen a specific area or prepare their next performance.
Start with our free introductory videos and contact us to join a group that matches your level.
Our classes
All our belly dance classes are supported by our online program and follow a progressive structure in small groups.
Bare feet and comfortable clothing that lets you move freely, without being too loose so teachers can see your movement. Leggings and a T-shirt or top are the most common choice; you can also add a hip scarf or specific rehearsal wear.
Belly dance is generally a sensual dance based on soft, wave-like movements involving the whole body, with the greatest movement in the hips, abdominal muscles, and pelvis. The torso draws undulations, the shoulders create waves, the arms and hands stay harmonious, and the hips trace lines and infinity symbols.
Belly dance is suitable for all ages and offers many benefits for women's health, both physical and psychological. It tones muscles, releases tension, improves posture, strengthens pelvic awareness, supports circulation, reduces stress, encourages emotional expression, and boosts self-esteem.
Although oriental dance can look simple, a 60-minute class can help burn up to 600 calories depending on intensity.
