Alina Babayan
Founder / Director
With degrees in English and Russian Philology, Alina is a professional belly dance artist and instructor with more than 15 years of experience. She has studied belly dance with prestigious Egyptian and international masters, as well as Greek, Gypsy, and Armenian dance. In 2014, Alina founded her own belly dance academy in Barcelona, Spain.
Oscar Flores
Artistic and Content Director
Dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher. Member of CID UNESCO. Artistic director and international educator with more than 30 years of experience. He has worked in more than 30 countries as a performer, stage creator, and trainer, and directs educational programs, dance festivals, and international musical projects.
Ani Sargsyan
Teacher
Con más de 10 años de experiencia y graduada como coreógrafa por el Colegio Estatal de Coreografía de Ereván, Armenia, y por el Instituto Estatal del Teatro y Cinematografía de Ereván, Ani Sargsyan ha sido ganadora de múltiples premios a nivel individual y como directora de su escuela en Ereván. En los últimos años Ani ha participado también como coreógrafa y bailarina para clips, publicidad, películas y series.
Belu Oliveira
Teacher
Born in Argentina, she graduated in 2010 as an Arabic dance teacher with master Samir Abut and was part of that academy's ballet for almost 10 years in Buenos Aires. In 2017 she joined the theatrical dance company Bellydance Evolution for several tours in the USA (2017-2019), recently taking part in its latest production, The Wizard of Oz, premiered in Copenhagen (2021).
Carolina Rubio
Teacher
With more than 15 years of experience, she has been part of a Bollywood company and has trained with national and international masters. Her path includes classical dances such as Kathak and Odissi, as well as trips to India to refine her technique. In recent years she has focused on the transformative power of dance, integrating body, mind, and emotion. She has taught since 2010 and has performed at events in Spain and across Europe.
Alexandra Ferrie
Teacher
Trained in classical ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance, with a degree in contemporary drama and a master's in dance movement psychotherapy, Alexandra has worked for years in theatre in the United Kingdom and has facilitated drama, dance movement therapy, creative movement, and tribal fusion workshops. She has danced and trained in tribal fusion for 14 years with teachers including Zoe Jakes, Olga Meos, and Rachel Brice.
Arpana
Administration and Customer Care
With Indian roots, Arpana has broad experience in administration, organization, and customer care. She is studying psychology and is also an amateur jazz and oriental dance performer. Warm and welcoming, Arpana will help answer your questions and settle into classes.
Angel Infante
Co-Director
A computer engineering graduate with a master's in management of information systems, Angel has more than 20 years of experience working for major multinational companies. Since 2016, Angel has combined his full-time work as a software architect with the administration and management of Dansa Alina Babayan.
