Hands & Arms in Oriental Dance
Throughout September 2026, the live classes at Orientalísimo Academy will focus on Hands & Arms, an online series with Oscar Flores exploring the expression and language of hands and arms in oriental dance.
The programme combines theory and hand styles from Asia to the Middle East with choreographic work across different styles. It is an opportunity to better understand the origin and intention of each gesture and bring it into movement with greater clarity, presence, and expression.

What we will explore
- Theory and context for different hand styles.
- Expressive resources for the hands and arms in oriental dance.
- Coordination, intention, and continuity of movement.
- Choreographic application across different styles.
