Summer Intensive with Oscar Flores
On Thursday, August 6, and Friday, August 7, we welcome Oscar Flores to the academy for a new in-person event in Barcelona. Two afternoons to keep working on choreography, musicality, and interpretation within oriental dance.
The programme begins with an open Pop Choreography class and continues with three intensive workshops: Rhythms, Baladi Taqsim, and Improvisation.
Workshops
Pop Choreography
An open class to work on a dynamic choreography, with stage energy and expressive resources designed to enjoy the movement from the first moment.
Rhythms
Musicality work to recognize structures, accents, and nuances, and gain confidence when interpreting music through the body.
Baladi Taqsim
A session dedicated to the sensitivity of taqsim and the character of baladi, with attention to listening, pauses, intention, and quality of movement.
Improvisation
A workshop to develop presence, musical response, and stage freedom, integrating technique and expression in the moment.

Prices
The Pop Choreography class has the usual drop-in price:
- 15 € per class, also open to users of booking platforms.
The Rhythms, Baladi Taqsim, and Improvisation workshops make up the intensive and follow the usual pricing for Oscar Flores events:
- 35 € per workshop (30 € for academy students)
- 90 € for all three workshops (80 € for academy students)
Additional information
The training is in person in Barcelona and is designed for students who want to expand their choreographic resources, deepen their understanding of music, and gain freedom in improvisation.
